Instructions for Disassembling Dashboard Elements

Model: BMW Serie 7 E68, E65, MK 4, E67, E66 - Years 2001-2008

To disassemble some elements of the dashboard, including the center console, start by removing the side air vent located just above the light control knob (pry along the edges using a plastic tool); once the air vent is removed, unscrew the screw on the right and the nut on the left that secure the dashboard trim frame (in this case with a wood effect finish); at this point, you can continue to remove the other elements, being careful not to damage the pressure clips, where present, and proceeding in order from the outermost to the innermost parts.

It may happen that the original horn starts to produce a sound that is noticeably underwhelming; at this point, you can decide to install a pair of sounders connected in parallel with the original one to achieve a more assertive sound.
