Operation: Replacing the front wheel hub bearing

To carry out this maintenance, place the car on a lift and remove the front wheel, the brake calliper complete with its support and the disc; remove the head of the steering box tie rod and that of the suspension swinging arm in order to free the hub support; remove the speed sensor, the pin fixing the shock absorber to the hub support and extract the drive shaft to completely free this support; use a bushing and the hammer to extract the hub from the support, unhook the seeger ring that fixes the bearing and remove the external flange; then position the support under a hydraulic press to extract the old bearing and insert the new one and then apply the seeger, the flange and key in the hub again with the aid of the press; once the unit has been reassembled, proceed backwards to install it on board the car.
