How to Install the Original BMW Bike Rack on a X1

Let's see how to install the original bike rack on a BMW X1. The installation is actually very easy, but it is a very expensive piece. Buying it from the BMW sales network costs around $540. You can save some money (without losing quality) by purchasing it directly from the German manufacturer at hubauer-shop. Use the code HU89436225554. You will pay only (so to speak) $467. Now, let's proceed with the installation. The locking lever must be vertical; place it on the tow hitch and lock the lever, then turn the security key. Secure the side mounts, open the two guides and the taillights, and connect the power plug: we are ready to place the bicycles. Secure them with the mechanical arm to the frame, using its key, and with the straps to the wheels. We will position the second bicycle the same way as the first, but in reverse. You can still open the trunk by tilting the bike rack with the designated pedal. There is also an extension support for a third bicycle. The original BMW one costs $133.47 on eBay ($101.29 on the hubauer site).
