Headlight Restoration Instructions

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Due to sun exposure, bugs, and car wash additives, the outer coating of the headlight tends to deteriorate and yellow, becoming cloudy and showing cracks. If these signs are not excessive, you can easily and economically restore the headlight. First, open the hood, detach the trim under the headlight, and wet sand it with very fine sandpaper (grit 1200) until the surface is uniformly dull. At this point, polish the surface with automotive wax, following the same steps used for polishing the body. One recommendation: do not exceed the speed of the polisher, as excessive overheating of the surface could cause irreversible damage.
