If you need to adjust the handbrake tension on this model from the German manufacturer, you can find the information and procedures to follow in the description below and in the video. First, access the driver's seat and remove the leather cover at the base of the handbrake.

Underneath, you will find the handbrake cables, which have a nut at the end that can be adjusted with a 12 mm wrench. Proceed to tighten or loosen it as needed.

Then, reposition the cover, and you are done.

How to open the bonnet on a Volkswagen Golf?
