In this video, see how to adjust the parking brake on a BMW 3 Series. Use a screwdriver to remove the cover from the parking brake lever next to the armrest. Once the piece is removed, unscrew (with a socket wrench or screwdriver with a bit) the retaining nuts from the center console under the parking brake lever (if present). Once the parking brake lever is free, adjust the lever by loosening or tightening the pins. Finally, reinstall the cover and all attached pieces, reversing the disassembly steps. Double-check the proper installation of the pieces.
