How to adjust the parking brake on a 3 Series. Remove the cover located under the parking brake (center console), and detach the knob with the leather boot. Once the piece is removed, unscrew (with a socket wrench or screwdriver with a bit) the retaining nuts of the center console under the parking brake lever. Lift the center console and locate the adjustment nuts. Adjust the parking brake pressure by loosening or tightening the nuts. After adjusting, lower and reinstall the center console cover and all previously removed components.
