Instructions for Removing the Outside Rearview Mirror

Model: BMW Serie 7 E66, E67, E68, E65, MK 4 - Years 2001-2008

To remove the outside rearview mirror, you first need to take off the door panel: remove the caps that hide the screws securing the panel from inside the opening lever area, along the armrest, and then the side airbag; once the caps are removed, unscrew the screws underneath and detach the panel along the edges, being careful not to damage the clips and disconnecting any connectors and wires; at this point, you can remove the plastic cover located right at the mirror and unscrew the screws underneath, including the one under the seal, and then take off the mirror.
