How to reset the service light on the BMW 1 Series F20

To manually reset the service light on your BMW Series 1 F20, it is not necessary to use a professional diagnostic tool. In fact, you can do it on your own using just one button on the dashboard. Here's how: First, insert the key and turn on the dashboard of your BMW F20. Then, press and hold the button located below the speedometer and release it as soon as the new menu appears on the mini display. At this point, press and hold it again and wait for the reset of the light to complete. Finally, turn off the dashboard.

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge.
