If the cigarette lighter socket in your BMW X5 suddenly stops working, first check the status of the related fuses, which are shown in this video. They are labeled F25 and F33 and are both located in the fuse box inside the cabin, behind the glove compartment on the passenger side.

The amperage for these fuses is 25A and 5A, respectively. If one of them is blown, always use a replacement with the same specifications; otherwise, you may damage the connected devices.
