Replacing Front Shocks

Model: BMW Serie 5 E60, E61 - Years 2003-2010

To replace the front shocks, you first need to have the appropriate clamps to compress the spring so you can remove the shock mount; start by lifting the vehicle on a lift and removing the front wheel; continue by removing the tie rod end from the steering box and removing the mounting pins of the shock to the hub mount, to the brake caliper, and disconnect the sensor to remove the hub complete with the disc; then move to the engine compartment and unscrew the nuts that secure the support plate to the body strut; once the shock is removed from its seat, apply the clamps to the spring to compress it and remove the mount while also sliding off the boot to apply it to the new shock, proceeding in reverse for installation.

To replace the headlamp bulbs on a Kia Sportage: open the bonnet by pulling the lever located at the bottom right of the dashboard, and secure it with the prop rod. Locate the inspection cap of the headlamp (at the rear of the headlamp) and remove it.
