Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Engine oil

Replace the engine oil and its filter, which is one of the simplest DIY maintenance tasks. It is important to dispose of used oil properly. Start by replacing the oil filter cartridge, located at the front of the engine near the intake manifold: unscrew the cap and remove the old cartridge. Before installing the new one, replace all the O-rings included in the new filter kit. Next, access the oil pan and unscrew the drain plug to drain the used oil. Finally, fill the engine with new oil until reaching the maximum level. Choosing a quality oil is essential for these engines with a chain-driven timing system immersed in oil.
