Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Obtain the correct amount of oil suitable for your engine type. Lift the vehicle with appropriate jacks and secure it with suitable supports to prevent it from falling, allowing you to work safely. Place a plastic sheet and an oil catch pan under the engine. Unscrew the oil drain plug on the oil pan and let it drain. Using a ratchet wrench, carefully unscrew the oil filter and remove it from its location. Replace the used filter cartridge with a new one, and also replace the O-ring gasket. Close the oil drain plug, reinstall the oil filter, and top off with new oil. After a test drive, check the oil level again. Do not dispose of used oil in the environment; take it to designated collection centers.
