How to Change the Cabin Air Filter on the BMW Z4

Changing the cabin air filter on the BMW Z4 is not easy because it is located in a hard-to-reach spot. Here’s how to do it: first, get under the glove compartment. Remove the two screws holding the glove compartment in place. Then, there are three more screws under the dashboard; pull the plastic towards you (not down) and disconnect the clips. Now you can see the filter cover; pull it towards you and remove the dirty filter. Clean the area with compressed air to remove dust and dirt. Install the new filter, ensuring the arrow points down. Snap the cover back in place, reassemble the plastics, reconnect the clips, and then replace the screws. The job is complete.
