Removing the Radiator Fan

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Radiator

Open the hood of the engine compartment and locate the position of the radiator fan, which is at the front just behind the radiator itself. Using two suitable wrenches, use one to hold the fan's locking mechanism and with the other, turn clockwise until you unlock the mechanism. At this point, the fan is disengaged and can be removed from its housing. Now you can install a new fan or, after any necessary maintenance, reinstall the same fan. The car on which this maintenance operation was performed is a BMW 3 Series.
