How to Replace the Cabin Air Filter in Your Car

Model: BMW Serie 7 E66, E67, E68, E65, MK 4 - Years 2001-2008
Part: Cabin air filter

In all cars equipped with air conditioning, there is also an air filter that is a very sensitive part of the vehicle and must be handled with utmost care. Once you have purchased the new filter, you can proceed with the replacement. The filter is located at the front of the passenger side, just below the glove compartment. To access it, you will need to remove the designated panel, which will need to be unlatched from its position. Carefully pull it out and down. Once this panel is removed, you will notice a cylindrical-shaped housing. This is the filter containment box. Remove the cover of this box using a Phillips screwdriver. You will need to remove two screws. At this point, you can take off the cover, and underneath it, you will see the cabin filter. Grip it with your thumb and pull it out of its housing.
