Changing Automatic Transmission Fluid with Flush

Model: BMW X5 E53 - Years 1999-2006

Lift the vehicle on a lift. Unscrew the oil plug located on the transmission pan and let it drain into a suitable container. Add the flushing additive and use the appropriate equipment to perform a thorough complete flush, then let it drain. Suck out all remaining fluid in the transmission for a perfect clean. Screw the oil plug back under the pan, replacing the gasket, lower the vehicle, and refill with the correct amount of the appropriate oil. Perform a road test with the vehicle to verify if the automatic transmission issues have been resolved.
