In order to reset the automatic transmission of the BMW X5, you need to insert the ignition key into the ignition switch, so that it can be turned: once the dashboard has been turned on, you can hold down the accelerator pedal for about thirty seconds. After this time interval has passed, you can release the accelerator pedal so that you can turn off the dashboard; it can now be turned on again to verify that the gear selector can be moved to select the various gear modes.
