Replacing Leather Shift Boot

Is the leather covering your shift lever worn out? There's nothing simpler and quicker to replace! Start by placing the shift lever in the 'NEUTRAL' position, and with a firm grip on the shift knob, pull upward with controlled force to extract the internal gear.

Now, using a lever, preferably plastic to avoid damaging other plastic parts of the car, remove the leather cover after disconnecting all the connectors on the back.

You will notice that by unlocking the 4 tabs on the back, you can remove the old leather and install the new one.
