How to Remove the Battery from the BMW 320 Touring

The battery in this model, like in many other models from the Bavarian manufacturer, is located in the trunk, on the right rear side (passenger side), beneath the load floor. To replace it, open the trunk, remove the load floor panel, and take off the carpeted side trim that houses the cargo net. It is secured with two plastic screws.

Once access to the battery is clear, remove the upper mounting bracket, then disconnect the terminals, the vent tube, and the bracket at the bottom.
