In this video, see how to replace the fuel filter on the BMW 3 Series. First, put the vehicle on a lift.

Raise it to a height that allows you to work under the chassis. Then, remove the screws holding the panel at the driver's side to access the fuel filter.

Place a container underneath to catch any fuel spills. Loosen the clamp on the outlet and disconnect the fitting at the inlet of the filter.

Loosen the bolt that secures the mounting clamp, slide off the outlet hose, and place the old filter on a workbench to remove the clamp. Take the new filter and insert the outlet hose, tighten the clamp, reattach the bracket and secure it to the frame, insert the inlet fitting and secure it with its pin, and finally, reattach the panel.
