How do you change the battery of the key fob for your BMW? Let's see in detail how to do it. Take your key fob and remove the metal key included. Once you have removed the metal key, insert it into the slot of the plastic key fob and twist it. When the cover lifts away from the rest of the fob, you can pull it off. Use a small screwdriver to remove the worn battery and take a new one of the same size to replace it. Reattach the cover on your key fob by pressing on the key case until you hear it click into place. Check that the key functions properly.
