Replacing the battery of the BMW 3 Series model e46 is an operation that can be carried out independently. To replace the battery of the 3 Series, we need to open the trunk and then remove the carpet cover. Next, we remove the bracket, using a 13mm combination wrench, and then proceed to remove the battery. We disconnect the negative terminal first using a 10mm wrench, and then the positive terminal. To disconnect the positive terminal, we must first lift the red cover and then use a 10mm wrench to remove it. We then remove the battery from its housing and insert a new one, reconnecting the positive terminal first and then the negative one. Finally, we reassemble the bracket and the outer cover.
