To remove the outer handle on a Cadillac XT5, open the door to access the screw located on its side, inside the hole corresponding to the handle. After loosening this screw, detach the lock from its position, which will allow you to remove the handle itself.

Once the old handle is removed, insert the new one into its place, and then reinstall the lock, securing it with a side screw in the door.
