Today we will see the process of disassembling and replacing the battery of the key remote for the Chevrolet Equinox. First, we take our remote and start prying open the side slot with something thin and pointed; then we open the remote's shells in two parts, as shown in the video. At this point, we remove and replace the battery with a new one of the correct type (in this case a 3V CR2032); we insert it in the correct direction and reassemble the remote shells, checking the functioning of all the buttons.
