Cruise control regulates the speed limit on a vehicle, preventing the driver from making rash actions while driving. When the limit is exceeded, a warning message appears on the instrument cluster display, usually accompanied by an audible signal.

To activate the speed limit on a Chevrolet Malibu, turn on the instrument cluster and press the menu button on the steering wheel to access the settings. Select the "Cruise Control" option to activate the setting and set the speed limit you do not wish to exceed.

After setting the limit, restart the instrument cluster and hit the road.
