To replace the battery inside the remote of your first-generation Chevrolet Cruze, you will need a new CR2032 battery and a small flathead screwdriver. Start by removing the back cover of the remote, then take the screwdriver and use it to remove the old battery.

Once these two simple actions are completed, insert the new battery and reattach the back cover of the remote. Test its proper functioning, and the procedure is successfully complete.
