To replace the battery on a first-generation Chevrolet Cruze, open the bonnet and locate the battery in the engine bay, usually near the wing. Remove any protective covers to access the terminals. Carefully remove the old battery and insert the new one into the same housing. Re-secure the bracket and reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative, ensuring the terminals are tight. Replace the covers, close the bonnet, and start the vehicle to check that everything works correctly.
