Removing the Timing Belt on a Chevrolet Aveo 1.4 - 1.6 16V

Today, we will see the step-by-step instructions to remove and replace the timing belt on a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo 1.4 or 1.6 16 valve. First, lift the vehicle and remove the front right wheel; then remove the wheel arch liner and loosen the tensioner of the auxiliary belt with a spanner to remove it. Next, unscrew the central nut of the crankshaft pulley and remove the timing cover from the top; to do this, disassemble the air filter box along with the intake hose. Proceed to remove the timing belt!
