How Can I Remove the Fuel Pump from My Chevrolet Silverado?

To replace the fuel pump in your Chevrolet Silverado, you need to remove the rear part of the vehicle, including the bed. Locate the pump (as shown in the video) and start disconnecting the various fuel lines and electrical wires from the tank, placing a pan underneath to catch any fuel that spills out. Using a ratchet wrench with an extension, remove the two mounting bolts. Once the tank is free from the supports, remove it and place it on a work surface to remove the pump. Before proceeding to remove the pump, clean the area around it thoroughly. At this point, rotate the collar on top of the pump a quarter turn, and now you can extract the pump from the tank, allowing any remaining fuel to drain out. Replace the pump with a new one following the installation instructions included in the package and reverse the steps. Before reinstalling the pump, clean everything thoroughly.
