How to Replace the Key Battery on a Chevy Equinox

If you notice that when you try to open the vehicle with the remote key, the doors do not open, it is likely time to replace the key battery. To do this, follow the instructions below and also refer to the video. First, pry off the back cover of the key with your fingers; underneath, you will find the battery compartment that you can remove by pressing on it. Then take a new CR 2032 battery, snap it into its compartment, and finally take the back cover and reposition it on the remote.
