How to Replace the Light Switch on the Chevrolet Trailblazer

Model: Chevrolet Trailblazer KC, MK 1 - Years 2002-2009

To replace the light switch on the Chevrolet Trailblazer, take a 7mm socket, unscrew the screw holding the plastic at the bottom left of the steering wheel; once the screw is removed, lower the plastic. With the plastic removed, find two screws holding the upper plastic to the left of the dashboard and unscrew them with a star screwdriver; after unscrewing the two screws, move the plastic to allow your hand to enter, push the two tabs on the back sides of the switch to extract it and move it aside, disconnecting the connectors. Take the new switch, connect the connectors and position it the same way as the old one, ensuring the rear tabs click into place; once the switch is secured, reposition the plastic to the left of the dashboard and screw the two screws back in with a star screwdriver; retrieve the plastic under the steering wheel, position it and screw in the screw with a 7mm socket. Finally, check the correct operation of the light switch.
