In order to replace the ignition switch of the Chevrolet Impala, you need to use an object to pry off the plastic covers that are located on the bottom and top of the steering column: once these are removed, you will be able to access the ignition switch, which can be removed by unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting the appropriate cables. After removal, you can connect the new ignition switch and insert it into its slot, securing it with bolts and covering everything with the respective covers.
