Front Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Chrysler Pt Cruiser MK 1 - Years 2000-2010

Position the vehicle on a lift. Before raising it, disconnect the top mounts from the control unit. Remove the front wheels, the brake line clips, and the bolts securing the shock absorber to the hub support. Next, remove the nut securing the shock absorber shaft to the body top mount. Use appropriate clamps to compress the spring and remove the mount to fit onto the new shock absorber (consider replacing the mount if necessary).
Once the new shock absorber is assembled with the spring and mount, install it back onto the vehicle in reverse order.
