Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the rear wheel; unscrew the mounting bolts of the shock absorber, remove it from its seat, and fit the new one, ensuring the mounting bolts are tightened properly. Repeat the same operation on the other wheel. It is absolutely important to replace both shock absorbers to ensure proper stability and a more consistent response both in corners and on uneven surfaces. These components, like brakes or various supports, should always be replaced in pairs since, working in a roughly symmetrical manner, the failure of one will only slightly precede the failure of the other.

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level.
