How to Fix Dashboard Light Malfunctions

Model: Chrysler Pt Cruiser MK 1 - Years 2000-2010

To resolve this issue, remove the plastic cover between the dashboard and the steering wheel. Avoid the three screws on the lower cover. After lowering the steering lock lever, remove the upper cover, followed by the lower cover. Now, disconnect the battery as the problem is electrical. You need to locate the connector for the dashboard lights, found on the left side of the steering wheel, characterised by a red locking lever. Pull the red lever towards you with a screwdriver and pull the connector down to remove it. Now, secure the wire connections to the connector using a screwdriver on the contacts. This will resolve the issue. The car shown in the maintenance operation is a Chrysler PT Cruiser.
