Replacing the Hydraulic Suspension Spheres

Model: Citroen Xantia MK 1 - Years 1993-2002

The hydraulic spheres that control the vehicle's suspension system are located under the scuttle and in the engine bay. A special tool is required for disassembly, which can be easily made, along with a set of spanners. The spheres contain hydraulic fluid and are connected via a thin metal pipe that requires particular attention. Secure the tool around the sphere and tighten it firmly, then apply force to unscrew the sphere. Once loosened, continue unscrewing it manually. To collect the fluid inside before fully unscrewing it, wrap it in a plastic bag. Remove the old seal and clean the opening thoroughly before fitting the new one. Screw in and tighten the new sphere, and remember to top up the escaped hydraulic fluid.
