Replacing the Battery on the Citroen C1 MK1

In this video, you will see that if the battery of the Citroen C3 MK1 is flat and does not hold subsequent attempts to recharge it, you need to replace it. Open the bonnet of the engine compartment; the battery is located on the driver's side. Start by removing the two-piece protective cover, then disconnect the control unit on the left and set it aside.

Loosen and remove the negative terminal, disconnect the positive terminal, press the release lever on the right, and remove the battery using its handle. Clean the compartment and insert the new battery, securing it with the lever.

Apply a thin layer of copper grease on the terminals, and clean the inside of the terminals with sandpaper. Reattach the terminals to the battery, starting with the positive, replace the control unit, and the two-piece cover.
