In this video, we will see how to deactivate the electronic handbrake on the Citroen Berlingo: the same procedure is valid for the Peugeot Partner and the Vauxhall/Opel Combo. This will be useful if we need to work on the rear brakes, because we will need to put them in "operational" mode in order to work on them without causing damage. Start the engine and press the brake pedal, deactivate the handbrake, and then turn off the ignition. This way, the handbrake will activate automatically. Now, restart the engine, press the handbrake button and while continuing to press it, also press the brake pedal. While continuing to press the button, turn off the ignition of the vehicle, and release the brake pedal and the button. If we open the door, we will see that the handbrake light is off, and we can work on it. If we restart the engine, the handbrake will reactivate automatically.
