The timing belt is effectively a component of the car, destined to wear out due to the work it performs and at every specific mileage traveled, established by the car manufacturer, it must be replaced. With good manual skill and attention, the work can also be done by yourself, following the tutorial as a guide.

The car must be lifted, the front right wheel is removed and the cover protecting the belt is removed, in order to loosen the tensioner and extract the belt from its seat. The exact opposite procedure to install the new one, reassemble the other components and finish the job.
