How to unlock the automatic transmission of a Citroen C4

To unlock the automatic transmission of a Citroen C4 with the lever stuck in "P" there are two ways: we turn on the car with the ON contact, press the brake pedal all the way down, then look for the unlock button on the gear lever: usually it is a small button near the lever with the symbol of two arrows chasing each other, or with "shift lock" written on it. If it is not visible, it is located under the plastic cover near the lever. Hold down the button and at the same time, move the lever from "P" to "N" or "D": otherwise turn off the car and pull the handbrake. Find the mechanical release: near the gear lever we find a small hole (sometimes covered by a cap), insert a flathead screwdriver and press down, and while pressing move the lever from "P" to "N". Restart the car and change gear.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
