How do you replace the tie rod and steering rack in a Citroën C3 II?

To replace the tie rod and steering knuckle in a Citroën C3, lift the car safely and remove the wheel. Loosen the lock nut that secures the knuckle on the tie rod, then unscrew the nut on the knuckle connected to the hub. Use a puller or a firm tap to free the knuckle. Now unscrew the knuckle from the tie rod, counting the turns (so you don't misalign the convergence). If you also need to change the inner tie rod, remove the steering boot, then use a specific key to unscrew it from the rack. Install the new tie rod and tighten it well, then put back the boot. Screw in the new knuckle using the same number of turns as before, secure everything, put the wheel back on, and go get the convergence adjusted. Done calmly, it can also be done in a garage. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, contact an experienced mechanic.
