How to Change Engine Oil and Oil Filter on a Citroen C3 MK1

Let's see how to change the engine oil and filter on a Citroen C3 MK1: open the oil filler cap to assist with draining, remove the filter housing cover, and pull out the old filter element, placing a container underneath to catch the used oil that comes out with the filter. Drain the old oil into a large basin, which you will then dispose of properly at an authorised centre. Meanwhile, clean the filter cover, remove the old gasket, insert the new filter into the cover, and fit the new O-ring after lightly lubricating it with some new oil. Screw in a new drain plug and a new washer at the drain hole. Lower the car back to the ground, screw on the filter cover, and then refill with approximately 3.5 litres of new oil (as recommended by the manufacturer). Close the cap, start the engine for a few minutes, turn off the engine, and wait 5 minutes. Check the level and top up until it reaches just below the Max level.
