How to Change Oil and Filter DIY on a Citroen C3 1.4 Petrol

On the Citroen C3 1.4 petrol, the oil change with filter replacement is performed with the vehicle off and safely. Lift the car at suitable support points, remove any undertray, and place the collection container under the sump. Loosen the drain plug and let the oil drain; then remove the oil filter (cartridge or spin-on as shown), checking and cleaning the seat. Before mounting, lubricate the seal of the new filter and check the washer on the plug; refit the plug with the correct torque and install the filter. Fill with the correct amount of oil through the filler neck, start the engine for a few seconds to fill the filter, then turn off and check the level with the dipstick, topping up if necessary. Finally, check for leaks, replace the undertray, and reset any service warning on the dashboard, following the procedure shown.
