How to Replace the Fuel Filter in the Citroën Xsara Picasso?

Today, we will explain how to replace the fuel filter in the Citroën Xsara Picasso. To perform the replacement, open the front bonnet and unscrew the fastening elements of the engine cover using a 10mm socket. Remove the engine cover and clean the filter box with a multi-purpose cleaning spray. Using a pry bar, disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector and the fuel lines from the filter. Unscrew the filter mounting element using an oil filter chain wrench. Remove the fuel filter, take out the old filter cartridge from the housing cover using a pry bar. Clean the filter box and cover using a cleaning spray. Attach the new filter to the cover and remove the adhesive seal with a flat screwdriver to replace it. Install the new fuel filter and tighten the fastening elements. Reconnect the fuel lines to the filter and start the engine for a few seconds to ensure the component works. Complete the replacement by refitting the engine cover.
