Today we will explain how to replace the oil filter and engine oil on a Citroen Xsara Picasso vehicle by yourself. To perform the oil change, we recommend inserting a pre-change liquid into the tank to clean it completely after the replacement. We open the front hood and remove the oil tank cap, pour the pre-change liquid inside, and after 15 minutes we lift the vehicle to unscrew the oil pan bolt and let the oil drain into a container. We close the oil pan bolt and loosen the oil filter bolt. We remove the oil filter and insert the new one. After inserting the filter, we tighten the bolt with a 21mm wrench. We lower the vehicle to the ground and pour about 4 liters of engine oil into the tank.
