How to reset the BSI on Peugeot and Citroen vehicles

Let's see how to reset the BSI on Peugeot and Citroen vehicles: this operation is used to resolve electrical malfunctions and can activate reserve circuits of the BSI, bypassing any damaged outputs. Generally, the method works on all vehicles from 2000 onwards, but there are some versions of BSI on which it may not work. Insert the key into the ignition without turning anything on, with the driver's door closed. Open the driver's door and turn on the instrument cluster; immediately turn it off and wait for the key warning sound to stop and for all dashboard lights to turn off. Simultaneously activate the indicator stalk and the wiper stalk: keep them pressed together until you hear a beep from the car. Release the stalks: the reset is complete. Restart the car normally to check if the malfunction has been resolved. If the problem persists, a diagnostic reset with professional equipment is necessary.
