How to Remove the Gear Knob on a Peugeot or Citroen

Sometimes, the gear knob may break or you may simply want to replace it with a different one. Here’s how to proceed when this happens on a Peugeot or Citroen vehicle. To remove the old knob, first detach the base of the trim (to which the leather covering of the lever is attached) by pulling it around its perimeter. Next, rotate the knob counterclockwise by 90 degrees and pull it firmly upwards to remove it from the gear lever. To install the new knob, follow the same steps in reverse as shown in the video images. And that’s it!
