How to Replace the Battery in a Citroen C4

This guide shows how to replace the battery in a Citroen C4. After securing the vehicle and opening the bonnet, you can see the battery on the right side of the compartment. First, disconnect and remove the resonator and the air pipes. At this point, disconnect the positive terminal of the battery using the appropriate lever. Remove the plastic cover from the battery and disconnect the negative terminal. Using a 10 mm spanner, remove the battery anchoring bolt and take out the battery. Clean the connectors with sandpaper and grease the battery terminals, then position the new battery in place and tighten the bolt. Refit the plastic cover and the negative terminal of the battery. Reconnect the positive terminal, the air pipes, and the resonator. The operation is now complete.
