Citroen Xsara Picasso - Video tutorial

Model: Citroen Xsara Picasso MK 1 - Years 1999-2012
Part: Control unit
Operation: ABS sensor maintenance and replacement

In this video an ABS sensor is removed and replaced from a Citroen Xsara Picasso. First of all, remember to carry out this work by disconnecting the car battery as it can come into contact with electrical components. Remove the wheel and identify the sensor to be replaced. In this case it does not already have a cover so it will only be necessary to remove the bolt that fixes it. Let's help ourselves with the flat tip of a screwdriver to remove it completely. Once extracted, it must be cleaned with a cloth and plain water, then reposition it as before. In the following case the sensor is really broken: broken inside its insertion seat. Carefully and very slowly it will be necessary to remove the broken part remaining in the seat. The routing of the sensor connector cable is then shown. A new sensor is then replaced with the old one and its cable is passed through the old housing and finally the connection is restored.
