Maintenance and Replacement of the ABS Sensor

This video shows the removal and replacement of an ABS sensor on a Citroen Xsara Picasso. First, remember to disconnect the vehicle's battery as you may come into contact with electrical components. Remove the wheel and locate the sensor to be replaced. In this case, it is already without a cover, so you only need to remove the bolt that secures it. Use a flathead screwdriver to help remove it completely. Once extracted, clean it with a cloth and plain water, then reposition it as before. In the next case, the sensor is broken: snapped inside its mounting location. Carefully and slowly, remove the broken part left in the mount. The path of the sensor connector cable is then shown. A new sensor is then fitted in place of the old one, and its cable is routed through the old housing, finally restoring the connection.
